"PM Najib Razak mengambil alih FELDA TERUS DIBAWAH KUASA PERDANA MENTERI, wang rezab FELDA dikisis habis dan berlaku ketirisan yang cukup serius. Simpanan rezab wang FELDA kehabisan.

Siapa dia agaknya.?.

Berita Sumber TVS

IPO CRAZY

Jim Cramer was right when he was furious about the LinkedIn Corp’s IPO yesterday. He was absolutely right that the IPO was “outrageously overvalued and preposterous” and that it’s the most ridiculous IPO since TheGlobe.com. Seriously, who can blame him when he accused the underwriters of playing the same game everyone played back in the 1990s during the dot com boom. The way Linked’s share prices pop on the first day of its IPO brings back the dot com memories.

A social networking player, theGlobe.com made headlines on November 13, 1998 when it posted the largest first day gain of any IPO in history back then. The company’s stock price collapsed the next year and the company retrenched for several years before ceasing operations in 2008. Of course going by the crazy buying at market price snapping and pushing up of the LinkedIn stock price to a gain of 170%, nobody would believe the doom of tech bubble is going to repeat itself.

LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman

LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman

After being priced at $45 in its initial public offering, LinkedIn Corp.’s shares soared more than double to as high as $122.70 (172%) before closing Thursday at $94.25 (up 109%). It was the biggest one-day gain for a Silicon Valley IPO since 2007 and left the online networking company with a $9 billion market value. There’re many happy faces with LinkedIn founder, Reid Hoffman, a former Apple and PayPal executive being one of them. He is now officially a billionaire with his stake in the company worth $1.8 billion, follow by CEO Jeffrey Weiner worth about $213 million.

Already, there’re people calling this IPO the new Netscape IPO for a new generation. It’s absolutely insane that a company with just $243 million in revenues and $15.4 million in profit is now valued at $9 billion. That’s 36 times LinkedIn revenue, compared to Google’s first day of trading in 2004, which gave the search giant a valuation of 5.5x revenue only. But LinkedIn is no Google but a job board company just like JobStreet or Monster with users interaction thrown in. Heck, how may of its 100 million users are actively looking for job?

Now, how come people were so crazy chasing the stock as if the shares is the ticket to travel to Mars? In a nutshell, the fact that lead underwriter Morgan Stanley sold very little shares (7.84 million shares) contributed to the squeeze that everyone was rushing for it. The second reason is because, well, LinkedIn is the only public traded social media stock to choose from right now. Still, that should not be the reason to stupidly jump onto the bandwagon because at $95, LinkedIn stock is trading at P/E of 2,461 of its FY2010 normalized earnings of $0.0386. And LinkedIn lost money in 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009, mind you.

Interestingly, using Quantitative Screen of the ZYX Change Method to calculate LinkedIn shows the fair value of LinkedIn to be $35.00. Maybe the stock would come to this level after other social networking players go public. Others waiting to jump in are Twitter Inc., Zynga Inc., Groupon Inc. and of course Facebook. Facebook which is speculated to float by Apr 2012 is now said to be influenced by LinkedIn’s IPO craze and would like to cash in earlier than that. Given choice, Facebook would like to go public next week to take advantage of the craze.

Kecairan pasaran tempatan mampu tarik pelabur asing

FADEAWAY - PORCUPINE TREE

Sung by guest guitarist John Wesley

I sat in the room with a view
The girl in the photograph knew
Can't you see?
Why is she laughing at me?

I stumbled through the dark unaware
The face in the hall isn't there
Tomorrow has gone
Where do the voices come from?

Watching the leaves as they blew
Lost in the room with a view
Climb the walls
You did not know me at all

I fell through a hole in the floor
The audience cried out for more
Fadeaway
It's just another day

Hit heaven far too high.

NOSTALGIA AWANG GONENG

BUMI ARMADA IPO

Bumi Armada to launch US$1b IPO

May 04, 2011

KUALA LUMPUR, May 4 — Oil and gas services provider, Bumi Armada, plans to raise nearly US$1 billion (RM2.97 billion) from its initial public offer, the largest offer in Malaysia since the listing of Petronas Chemicals last year, sources with direct knowledge of the deal told Reuters.

“It is a US$1 billion IPO, which values the company at about 20 times price-earnings for its 2011 earnings, and 16 times for 2012,” a banking source told Reuters today.

Bumi Armada’s Chief Executive Officer Hassan Basma could not be reached for comment.

Yesterday, IFR, a Thomson Reuters service, reported that Bumi Armada was expected to file a draft prospectus with the Malaysian regulators this week for an IPO of around US$800 million.

Bumi Armada specialises is an offshore support specialist, and is the only Malaysian company that owns floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels, which carry a premium lease rate.

Bumi Armada’s IPO, which will be one of the largest announced in Southeast Asia this year, was delayed several times in the past few years.

The company was privatised in 2003 by tycoon T. Ananda Krishnan, and a planned relisting in 2008 was delayed due to the global financial crisis. A subsequent relisting plan was also shelved.

One fund manager said the Malaysian market had appetite to support an IPO of Bumi Armada’s size.

“I don’t know whether it’s the same company as it was in 2003 when it delisted, because I’ve been told they’ve injected other assets,” MIDF Amanah Asset Management’s Chief Executive Officer Scott Lim told Reuters, saying he needed more information on the company before deciding whether to invest in the stock.

The Malaysian oil and gas sector has been identified as one of the key economic areas under the government’s economic transformation programme, which aims to boost investment and raise the national income level.

The country has also seen significant investment commitments from foreign companies, such as a total of US$4.9 billion by Exxon Mobil and Royal Dutch Shell, to develop new assets in the country, the government has said.

The joint global coordinators for the IPO are CIMB , Maybank and Credit Suisse, which are also joint bookrunners with RHB , CLSA and UBS. — Reuters

Harga Indikatif akan diketahui pada 30 Mei 2011.

***Harga dianggarkan sekitar RM3.00.

16-6-2011 : BUMI ARMADA UPDATES DRAFT PROSPECTUS

KUALA LUMPUR: Touted as the largest initial public offering this year, Bumi Armada Bhd's draft prospectus was uploaded for comments a second time due to the appointment of two new independent directors.

While various changes were made to the document, the key reason it was exposed for comments again was due to the appointments.

The first draft prospectus was disclosed on May 4 for a period of 15 working days.

The updated version posted on June 10 follows the appointment of Dutch national Alexandria Elisabeth Johanna Maria Schaapveld, 52; and Australian Andrew Philip Whittle, 65; as independent non-executive directors of the company on June 8.

Schaapveld has more than 20 years experience in the banking sector, while Whittle has over 42 years of technical and managerial experience in the petroleum exploration and production industry.

The appointments bring the number of independent directors on the board to three, from only one when the first draft prospectus was out.

The other independent director, Saiful Aznir Shahabudin, has been with the company since December 2006.

The updated version will be closed for comments today, after opening for comments for five working days.

The draft prospectus also stated that the company will allocate RM775 million from the proceeds of the initial public offering to partly pay its borrowings.

While past reports speculated that the IPO will raise about RM3 billion, a recent report in a business daily claimed that the number could go up to RM9 billion.

According to the updated draft prospectus, Bumi Armada's IPO would comprise of an offer for sale of up to 234,277,000 existing shares and a public issue of up to 644,261,600 new shares.

Assange: Facebook is an 'appalling spy machine'

Julian Assange

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange says Facebook, Google, and Yahoo are actually tools for the U.S. intelligence community.

Speaking to Russian news site RT in an interview published yesterday, Assange was especially critical of the world's top social network. He reportedly said that the information Facebook houses is a potential boon for the U.S. government if it tries to build up a dossier on users.

"Facebook in particular is the most appalling spying machine that has ever been invented," Assange said in the interview, which was videotaped and published on the site. "Here we have the world's most comprehensive database about people, their relationships, their names, their addresses, their locations and the communications with each other, their relatives, all sitting within the United States, all accessible to U.S. intelligence."

If that's the case, it might surprise some that WikiLeaks has its very own Facebook page. In fact, last year, when WikiLeaks released a controversial batch of confidential documents--putting Assange on the run--Facebook refused to shut down that page. The company said at the time that the page did not "violate our content standards nor have we encountered any material posted on the page that violates our policies."

Facebook's response stood in stark contrast to the treatment of WikiLeaks by many other companies in the U.S. last year. Several firms, including PayPal, blocked the company's accounts.

But Assange didn't just stop at Facebook. He also told RT that in addition to the world's largest social network, Google and Yahoo "have built-in interfaces for U.S. intelligence."

"It's not a matter of serving a subpoena," he told RT. "They have an interface that they have developed for U.S. intelligence to use."

Surprisingly, Assange didn't mention Twitter, another major social network with which his organization has run into trouble.

Earlier this year, the U.S. Justice Department sent a court order to Twitter, requesting the social network deliver information from accounts of activists that allegedly had ties to WikiLeaks. In March, the Justice Department was granted access to those accounts following a judge's ruling in favor of the seizure. Last month, the Justice Department said that complaints over its desire to obtain Twitter information is "absurd," and its actions are quite common in criminal investigations.

However, the Justice Department didn't secure a search warrant for access to the information. Instead, it obtained a 2703(d) order, allowing investigators to secure online records that are "relevant and material to an ongoing criminal investigation."

For U.S. intelligence, getting information from Facebook is much easier, Assange said in the interview. He reportedly told RT that the U.S. intelligence community's use of "legal and political pressure" on Facebook is enough for it get what it wants.

"Everyone should understand that when they add their friends to Facebook, they are doing free work for United States intelligence agencies in building this database for them," Assange said, according to the RT interview.

For its part, Facebook disagrees with Assange's sentiment. In a written statement to CNET, a Facebook spokesman said that it does only what's legal--and nothing more.

"We don't respond to pressure, we respond to compulsory legal process," the spokesman told CNET. "There has never been a time we have been pressured to turn over data [and] we fight every time we believe the legal process is insufficient. The legal standards for compelling a company to turn over data are determined by the laws of the country, and we respect that standard."

DIRI RASA SEMAKIN TUA

Aku copy and paste saja sebahagian tulisan Saudara Sayuti didalam blog MSO nya.

Catatan Peribadi (MSO)
Bila Anak Dipinang Diri Rasa Semakin Tua

TANPA disedari rupa-rupanya diri semakin tua.
